Why are pastors wealthy? (Part1) – By Olufukeji Ejimi Adegbeye

All this talk about your tithes & offerings making pastors rich is just shallow thinking.

I hear people say, church business is so lucrative, I’ll start my church and become wealthy fast.
That’s just dumb. Do you know how many churches exist in Nigeria? What makes you think people will leave their current church to follow you just like that?
Pastors are rich and celebrated because they do the four major things that most people won’t do. 
A successful pastor is a celebrity…and just like most smart celebrities, they are wealthy! Instead of complaining and resenting, just learn from them and replicate their success.
You don’t need tithes & offerings to be rich, you just need to:
1. Find a message that matters to you and to a large enough number of people. 
Yes, the message of a Pastor is Jesus Christ, or the Word of God. But that’s rather broad. You need to be more specific. These men of God are specific!
When you think of Holiness, who do you think of? 

Daddy Kumuyi & Deeper Life.
When you think of prayer and deliverance, who do you think of?

Dr Olukoya and MFM!
When you think of Fatherhood & Spiritual Growth, who do you think of? 

Daddy Adeboye and RCCG!
When you think of Prosperity & Faith, who do you think of? Bishop Oyedepo.
When you think of The Anointing & Excellence, who do you think of? Pst Chris Oyakhilome & BLW Nation!
When you think of The Prophetic & Social Justice/Activism, who do you think of?

Apostle Johnson Suleiman & Omega Fire Ministries!
This is why they are rich. These men consciously built a personal brand around the things that matter to them and a large number of people. Holiness matters to a large number of people. So does prosperity, the prophetic, deliverance, spiritual growth, etc.
Every successful person does this!
I mean, isn’t this what rich celebrities also do?
When you think of the streets…hustling from the ground up, rages to riches, who do you think of? Olamide!
When you think of Mr Posh, Fine Boy, who do you think of? Banky W.
Pete Edochie? Omotola? Patience Mama G? Mr Ibu? Kim Kardashian? Beyonce? Messi? Ronaldo?
These “successful” people have a distinct message they represent with their life & work!
Question: 

When you think of yourself, what do you represent? Nothing. Zilch. Nada. 
Nobody knows you or what you stand for.
If we ask your colleagues, your family, your immediate circle what matters to you, what is your life message…you don’t have. You don’t know. You are not building or projecting any message. Yet you are angry with these pastors for being wealthy.

You think shallow and conclude that it is because of tithes & offerings…

So, ask yourself…what is my life’s message? 

Am I passionately spreading it? 

Who else is passionate about this same thing?
This is the first step to becoming wealthy.
